My name is Kevin Mowrer
I’m a new novelist. It feels marvelous to say that, and yet, it is strange. In one form or another, I’ve been working in the business of story and fantasy for over 30 years. I founded Hasbro’s entertainment division, have won Emmy’s, written many a script, and consulted on countless shows and movies. Strangely, in all that time, I hadn’t written any books.
There were a great many stories building up in my story file, and one day, I woke up and just knew it was time. My deep love of adventure fantasy, world creation, and inventing forms of magic, needed its very own lane.
So here we are. I would not have gotten to this place by myself. I’m very lucky because my whole family is in the business of story with me, and we’ve come together to create our own little publishing effort.
My wife, Gail, is a very talented designer who does the book designs, cover layouts, web work, editorial feedback and so much more. My eldest son, Christopher, is himself a young writer, an English major and my editor. My second son, Brendan, is a talented artist and my dev reader/editor.
We also have two dogs, Stella (a recalcitrant Corgi and the queen of barking) and Luna (a puckish Shelty who grows larger at just the mention of food).
Oh, and we’re self-publishing all titles. We’ve always been quite close as a family so this is an exciting adventure to undertake together. All of it. The writing, editing, design, marketing and content creation.
